The Evacuation of Historical Collections of The Land and University Library at the Close of World War II.
The exhibition commemorates the 110th birth anniversary of PhDr. Emma Urbánková (1909–1992), an eminent Czech bibliologist and longtime head of the NL Manuscript Department. The display focuses on one special period, when she in 1943-1944 provided for the evacuation of the most precious documents from the Klementinum to Karlštejn Castle. Displayed is also a series of unique photographs discovered recently in the NL Archives.
